You can check out on 29 May until 06:00 am. If you do not check out after this, you must report it in the Check Udvej app.

11 April 2026 is the last day you can purchase/order a new physical Commuter card.

19 May 2026 is the last day you can order a replacement card for Commuter Card if you lose your physical Rejsekort. The price for a replacement card is the same as for a new card: 50 kroner. If you order a replacement card, you will not receive the proportional remaining card price back when Rejsekort closes – only any remaining balance will be paid out. • View and download your travel history.

Please note that Self-service may close earlier than 30 June, however not earlier than 1 June 2026. Rest amount

If you close your Commuter card on Rejsekort before 29 May, it will close at the end of the last period you have prepaid. You can therefore travel until the end of the period – however no later than and including 28 May.

You can close your physical Rejsekort via Self-service. When you do so, any unused travel days will automatically be paid out to your NemKonto within 10–14 working days.

If you have travel days remaining after 28 May, the remaining travel days will automatically be paid out to your NemKonto within approximately two months after the Rejsekort has been closed.

Please note that you still have access to Self-service after closure, where you can view your travel history and registered information.

Go to guide: How to close your Rejsekort.
If you close your Commuter card that has an active period, the value of the days that have passed plus the value of eight travel days will be deducted. The amount will be paid out to your NemKonto.

Your balance is automatically transferred to your NemKonto. If you have money on your card when your Rejsekort closes, we will automatically deposit the amount into your NemKonto within two months.
Please note that even if you have an active period that expires later than 28 May 2026, your period on your physical Rejsekort will no longer be valid when the system closes on 29 May 2026.
The remaining period that goes beyond 28 May 2026 will automatically be paid out to your NemKonto within approximately 2 months.

Under certain conditions, you can have the remaining card price paid out. The remaining card price is the value that the card represents in relation to when you purchased it.
When the Rejsekort system closes on 29 May 2026, your Rejsekort closes at the same time, and under the conditions below you can have the remaining card price paid out.

Conditions for payment of remaining card price:
When you purchased your Commuter Pass, you paid 50 kroner for the card itself.
A Rejsekort is valid for 5 years regardless of type.

When the physical Rejsekort closes on 29 May 2026, there may be some validity remaining on the card that you cannot use.
If the card was purchased no later than 14 December 2024, you can get your proportional remaining card price refunded.
If the card was purchased from 15 December 2024, you will not receive any remaining card price refunded.
You will only be informed of the final amount for the remaining card price when the repayment takes place after May 2026.
The remaining card price will always be less than what you paid for the card.

Read the applicable card terms and conditions at any time for more information here

If you want the remaining card price paid out
This only applies if your card was purchased no later than 14 December 2024:
• You must not close the card now.
• Wait until your physical Rejsekort automatically closes on 29 May 2026.

If you wish to close the card before May 2026
• You can have the card closed and have the money on it paid out.
• You cannot get money back for the card itself (remaining card price) – even if you would normally be entitled to it.

Active period
Please note that even if you have an active period that expires later than 28 May 2026, your period on your physical Rejsekort will no longer be valid when the system closes on 29 May 2026. Therefore, you cannot travel on your Commuter Card 28 May 2026.

Your renewal agreement automatically closes when the physical Rejsekort closes on 29 May 2026.
If a period is activated, the repayment will be deducted by the value of the days that have passed. You can get your unused period refunded by ordering repayment in Self-service or by calling Rejsekort Customer Centre on 70 11 33 33.

Please note that it may take up to two months before the money is transferred. If you wait until the Rejsekort system closes, the remaining amount will automatically be paid out to your NemKonto, and you will not be deducted the value of eight travel days.

If you close the agreement yourself before 29 May, you will be deducted the value of eight travel days.
